Transfer Students

You attended a college or university, and for one reason or another, you are looking at other options. Webber International University understands what a student who is looking to transfer is going through. You probably have a lot of questions: How many credits are going to transfer? Will this be a better fit? Do we offer the major you are looking for?

Transfer Process

Information for students transferring credits to Webber International University

  • Applicants will receive a college credit transfer evaluation prior to enrollment by submitting official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities.
  • In addition to official college transcripts, international students must submit a transcript evaluation from a recognized Foreign Credential Evaluation Service, such as wes.org or www.jsilny.com. (for other services available, contact Admissions).
  • Transfer credits are awarded only for academic courses taken at regionally accredited institutions. Grades must be a “C” equivalent or higher. Courses taken at schools not regionally accredited may yield some lower-level credit based on additional documents submitted and subsequently reviewed and approved for transfer by the Academic Dean.
  • A maximum of 30 hours is transferable into the associate programs and a maximum of 90 hours for the bachelor programs.
  • An an articulation agreement with Florida community colleges allows up to 69 credit hours transferred to a baccalaureate degree at Webber.
  • Transcripts received by Webber International University become the property of Webber and will not be returned to the applicant or forwarded to any other institution. Please do not send us your original transcript/diploma if you have no other copies.

Academic Cooperative Program/Articulation Agreements - what is it?

The Florida Student Transfer Program is the answer for you!

Webber International University participates in the statewide Articulation Agreement between the Florida Independent Colleges and Universities and the State and Community Colleges of Florida.

  • Transfer up to 69 credit hours from Florida Community or State Colleges and earn at least
    51 credit hours from Webber International University = 120 hours for the Bachelor of
    Science in Business Administration Degree.
  • Webber will accept all applicable Polk State College credits up to 69 credit hours.

The maximum of 69 hours may include business courses such as Financial Accounting I & II, Managerial Accounting, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Microeconomics & Macroeconomics and selected Computer and other business courses.

  • Webber will accept the A.A. or A.S. degree. Academic grades of D are accepted when
    earned within the degree.
  • The Bachelor of Science degree will enable the student to apply to the MBA Program at
    Webber International University.
  • Webber offers flexible scheduling with day, evening, blended (half & half) and 100%
    online classes.
  • Additional A.A. and A.S. program-specific articulation agreements are available for A. and
    A.S. degree programs from:

Requirements for Admission

  • Completed application.
  • Official transcripts.
  • Proof of high school graduation.
  • Letter of recommendation and Transfer Clearance Form.

Academic Advising

  • Personal academic advising with an advisor assigned to you.
  • Creation of an academic plan for completing the B.S. degree.
  • Flexible scheduling for your convenience.
  • Graduation requirements will not change as long as a student maintains continuous enrollment.

Financial Aid

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) – www.fafsa.ed.gov
  • Personal financial aid counseling is available.
  • Scholarship opportunities for full-time Webber students include Academic Scholarships, Articulated Transfer Scholarships, Athletic Scholarships, Bright Futures Scholarships, Florida Resident Access Grant, Florida Student Access Grant, Federal Grants, and Student Loans.
  • Lower tuition in the McKenna Adult Degree Completion Program – students must qualify for the program.

Once you have submitted your application and official transcripts, you will receive a transfer evaluation. The evaluation details the transferred courses, credit hours accepted towards your degree and which courses are still required to complete your degree at Webber.
