You attended a college or university, and for one reason or another, you are looking at other options. Webber International University understands what a student who is looking to transfer is going through. You want to know how many credits are going to transfer? Will this be a better fit for you? Do we offer the major that you are looking for?

One thing we do offer is personal attention, and we are here to help you answer these questions and any others that you may have in the quickest possible manner. We know that you have a lot to consider when choosing the next college or university that you will attend, and we have staff ready to assist you in making the best informed decision.

Applicants are notified of their status within 3 weeks of receiving required admission documents. Available seats are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

ADMISSION PROCESS

To be considered a Transfer student, the student must have 15 or more completed college level semester hours.

Items to be submitted:

-WIU Admissions Application
-$35 Non-Refundable Application Fee
-Official Transcripts from ALL Colleges and Universities attended (even if courses were not completed)
-Transfer Clearance Form from the last College and University attended.

If you have not completed a minimum of 15 College Level semester hours, you will be required to submit your official high school transcripts and official SAT and/or ACT scores in addition to the above items. Please refer to the Freshman Admission Process.
For Fall acceptance, students must submit applications by August 1. For Spring acceptance, applications must be submitted by December 1. And applications for Summer acceptance must be submitted by April 1.

ADMISSION STANDARDS

Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0. Please be advised that grade forgiveness is not considered in the calculation of a cumulative GPA. Transfer students must also be eligible socially to return to all previous colleges and universities.

All former WIU students who wish to return to the University after a period of absence of one (1) semester or more must re-apply. In addition, they must submit a well written essay stating why they left, what they have been doing, and why they wish to return to Webber.

TRANSFER POLICY

Once you have submitted your application, application fee, and official transcripts, you will receive a transfer evaluation. The evaluation details the transferred courses, credit hours accepted towards your degree and which courses are still required to complete your degree at WIU.
