The Webber International University Alumni Association is governed by a Board of Directors, who partner with the association’s executive leadership and staff to drive the strategic thinking and direction of the WIUAA. The Board of Directors is the chief elected body of the association, representing the interests of the association’s members and constituents.
The role of the WIUAA Board of Directors is to establish policies consistent with the Association’s Constitution and bylaws, regarding the finances, property, management, and activities of the Association for the purpose of engaging constituents in the further advancement of Webber International University and the Alumni Association.
WIUAA board members provide governance and oversight, and serve as ambassadors for the association and the university to strengthen and enhance interaction between the university, current WIU students, the corporate community, local and state government, and alumni in Florida and around the world.
The Alumni Association’s vision, goals, programs and services are intended to stimulate interest in, build loyalty for, and increase support for Webber International University throughout the alumni experience. Board members are knowledgeable advocates and partners for the University through legislative advocacy, philanthropy and active service in local communities. The Board meets a minimum of once a year to develop goals and objectives, assist with long-range planning, and monitor Alumni Association finances.
While these are just a few of the leadership’s priorities, they are constantly working to ensure that Webber International University maintains its standard of excellence, both today and in the future.
