Webber International University Programs
All WIU scholarships which require an application have a deadline of August 1st. More complete information for scholarship policy is listed in our Scholarship & Financial Aid Policies link at the bottom of this listing.
Academic Scholarship - Awarded yearly, based on cumulative GPA, 12 hours at WIU. Awarded to high school graduates and college transfers who have the stipulated cumulative GPA and are regularly accepted.
- $1,300 for 3.25 to 3.49 GPA;
- $2,100 for 3.50 to 3.74 GPA;
- $3,600 for 3.75 to 4.0 GPA.
Bright Future Match - New full time incoming students who receive a Bright Future Scholarship from the state of Florida are eligible to receive a match from Webber International University. Renewable with continued eligibility for the State Program.
Babson Award - $2,824 per year. Awarded to new incoming out of state and international full time freshman students who have earned a 970 SAT or 20 ACT in one sitting and have a 3.00 weighted GPA. Must maintain a 2.75 to renew each year.
Bok Award - $4,000 per year. Awarded to new incoming out of state and international full time freshman students who have earned a 1270 SAT or 28 ACT in one sitting and have a 3.50 weighted cumulative GPA. Must maintain a 3.00 to renew each year.
Entrance Exam Award -$1,000 to new incoming freshmen full time students who enters with an SAT/ACT score of at least 1090/23 in one sitting. Renewable with a cumulative 3.00 GPA.
President's Green and Gold Scholarship - $3500 per year. To reward the steady learner, new incoming regularly accepted full time students who are non-athletes upon application. Minimum GPA requirement of 2.70, renewable. May not be awarded with Bright Future Scholarship and matches.
Business Scholarship - New regularly accepted full time students who are not on athletic scholarship may apply for up to $4,000 per year. A personal essay and one letter of recommendation is required. Contact admissions for additional details.
Dean's Award - $2,000 a year to new incoming students who will not be receiving an athletic scholarship. Cumulative GPA 3.0 and SAT of 970 or ACT of 20 or TOEFL of 530 (200 computer based). Letter of recommendation required from school official which details community service. Renewable with cumulative 2.75 GPA.
Talent and Leadership Scholarships - $1,000 per year. Applications and other criteria available in Admissions Office.
- Future Business Leaders of America - Scholarships available to students with some previous demonstrated leadership role in FBLA required. Letter of recommendation required from faculty sponsor. Must participate in FBLA. Renewable with participation.
- Student Publication Scholarship - Scholarships available to students with some demonstrated skills in production, editing, writing, or design of student publications. Application, portfolio samples and letter of recommendation from faculty advisor required. Renewable with participation.
- Student Leadership Award - Scholarships available to students who have actively participated in student government, peer counseling, prefects, civic organizations, or club activities. Application and letter of recommendation required from sponsor. Renewable with participation.
Warrior Student Leaders Scholarship – Available to students who apply and are accepted as a student representative with the Admissions Office.
Early Commitment Incentive - Fully accepted students who have completed ALL required housing & admission forms and will be residing on campus will receive a room and board reduction for the year if they have paid $350 deposit: By May 1 - $750; By June 6 - $500 (Renewable with continued residence and full meal plan).
Fully accepted students who will be residing off-campus will receive a tuition reduction for the year if they have paid a $150 deposit and completed all necessary paperwork: By May 1: $375 By June 6 $250 (Non-renewable).
2 +2 Opportunity Scholarship - $7,000 tuition scholarship for AA/ AS/AAS graduates from our surrounding community/state colleges; Polk State College, South Florida Community College and Valencia Community College. Graduation date and degree earned must immediately precede WIU entrance date. Student must be a non athlete and regularly accepted into the traditional undergraduate program. Limited to 20 scholarships. Renewable with a 2.75 GPA. Not to be combined with any other WIU institutional scholarship. Click here to download application.
Florida Community College Scholarship - $1,000 to incoming full time students with an AA or AS transferring directly from a Florida Community College. The degree must be awarded prior to the student's first semester at Webber. Non-renewable.
International Student Incentive - $250 to an international student who refers other international students to Webber International University. The student must subsequently attend. The referring student's name must appear on the original admission application.
Presidential Scholarship - Awarded as a work scholarship for service to the university. A minimum of 6 hours per week during a semester is required, depending on award amount.
Athletic Scholarship - Awarded at the discretion of the Athletic Department for Varsity Athletes. Contact the Athletic Director or coach for consideration.
Alumni Scholarships - Ten percent tuition reduction to children and grandchildren of Webber International University alumni.
Pro Start Scholarship - $2,000 per year to high school culinary program student who graduated with a cumulative of 2.75 GPA. Renewable with 2.50 GPA. Application in Admissions.
Ellison Work Study - Awarded to undergraduate students who secure a position for on-campus work at minimum wage during the academic year. Work applications available in the Financial Aid Office.
Kelly A Wilson Memorial Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship available to a student in need who has overcome challenges in their life. Two scholarships available. An essay is required. Renewable with a cumulative 2.50 GPA.
Dockery Presidential Scholarship - Available to full time students, based on service and need. Contact the Admissions Office for application.
Samir Sabbagh Scholarship - Available to new incoming students residing on campus, based on service and activity. Contact the Admissions Office for application.
Souhail Sabbagh Scholarship - Available to full time, non-Florida freshmen based on community and high-school service. Contact the Admissions Office for application.
