Contact: anneart@aol.com Artist Statement I like to work in many different media: pencil, pastel, charcoal, acrylic, oil, ink and mixed media, occasionally replacing the traditional brush to a palette knife for rich texture and dimension. My paintings and drawings are noticed by art lovers because of the contrast, deep perspective and hidden message. Growing up in beautiful East European city of Tallinn, capital of Estonia, I fell in love with historic buildings, parks and endless beaches. I used to draw and paint everything around me since age of six. I’m fascinated by the complex sceneries as well as the simplest subjects and everyday objects around us. My art will evoke viewers to think and discover something new and something historical at the same time. My subject matter will range from a simple flower to an architectural rendering depending on the medium I use. |
