Amelia Cover
President

Amelia Cover graduated from Wesley Chapel High School in 2005, she have been apart of SLA for 3 years, 2 of those years are as the President. Her first year in SLA prepared her to assume the top leadership role as President in 2006. Amelia’s goals as president of SLA are to make sure they have a stable foundation to build upon. To establish a constitution that will be the building block for this organization.

Amelia Cover believes that advocating for students is a once-in-lifetime experience.

Tristanna Ebanks
Vice President
 

Tristanna Ebanks, originating from the Cayman Islands is currently in her third year at Webber International University, where she is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Finance and Computer Information Systems Management. During her summer and winter breaks, she spends her time working within the internal Audit Department for a major organization in Cayman. Upon graduation she plans to return home as a full time employee there while, pursuing her CPA and possibly her masters.

Here at Webber, she actively participates as a Vice President of the Student Leadership Association, a Tutor of English, Assistant in the career services division, and a member of the Big Brother Big Sister’s association. During her two year term as Vice President of SLA she has learnt excellent team building skills as well as organization skills. She would say the most rewarding part of her experience is knowing she has the opportunity to make an impact at her school. In addition to this she feels that getting into an organization such as this has enable her to gather networks from other schools as well as professional contacts.

One of the organization’s greatest accomplishment was the creation and implementation of the constitution which she is proud to have been apart of along with her fellow club members. She values the changes she was involved in and anticipate growth for the club in the future.

Sarah Anderson
Public Relations Chair

Sarah Anderson came to Webber International University by way of a sports scholarship granted to her through the track program in 2005. Since then she has actively been involved throughout the school by participating in various sports, clubs and activities such as Phi Beta Lambda, Residence Assistance, Cheerleading, and her most recent endeavor as the standing two year Public Relations Director of Webber's own Student Leadership Association. She currently hold her Associates Degree in Sports Management and is obtaining her Bachelors Degree with the Major of Marketing.

Being in the Student Leadership Association has helped to mold her into the leader she is now. “It has been such a great experience and I enjoy every minute of the hard work.” Sarah is proud to have been a large part in the composing of Student Leadership Association’s constitution and continuing strive in becoming an independent association, while being the liaison between the student body and the faculty.

“The Student Leadership has come a long way from the creation of this association in the beginning of the 2005-2006 school year and have been heavily involved in the efforts to help students achieve more from the university since then. We pride ourselves on the learning experiences that we have had and will continue to work hard to achieve all that needs to be done for the future years to come. We believe that together we all will achieve more and that this journey will, in the end, prepare us for what the business world may have in store for us.”-Sarah A. Anderson 

Andre Andrea
Advisor

Alfano serves as the SLA Advisor as well as Director of Career Services at WIU. She is a graduate of the Florida State University and the University of South Florida, where she earned a Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs Administration. Ms. Alfano enjoys the advisor role and values the relationships she is able to build with the SLA members. She has advised student organizations such as the FSU Chapter of Golden Key International and the USF Council of Honor Society.
