Applying to an Online Degree Program
To apply to an online degree program, complete the standard application and indicate on the application form that you want to complete the online degree program.
The rules for acceptance are the same as with a student applying to the traditional degree program.
The goal of the online program is to “provide e-Learning programs to students who are self-motivated and feel comfortable using computer technology for taking online courses.” Students who lack the necessary self-motivation or computer skills tend to drop from an online program. Applicants into the online program will be interviewed via telephone to ascertain the applicant’s level of self-motivation and computer skills.
When you are accepted into an online degree program, your name and information are forwarded to Computer Services to set up your network and email account, and to the online program manager to set up your Moodle account (online classroom management program).
