Only degree-seeking students at WIU are assigned a WIU network account. Transient students are NOT assigned a WIU network account. If the transient student is taking a course that requires specialty software that the student does not wish to purchase, he may request a network account to obtain remote access into the WIU network system to use the software on the student system.
