PASS Center at WIU |

|
|
Welcome to the PASS Center at Webber
International University. The center is located in the basement of the
McConnell Classroom Building, through the glass doors facing the soccer
field and gym. PASS represents Programs for Academic Student
Support ; the Center provides services to students as a supplement to
classroom instruction; we exist strictly to help students make better
grades. To that end, we offer tutoring services in both Math-related and
English-related classes. Tutors work seven days each week. |

Contact Person for PASS Center:
Dr. Pat Nickell Office Hours Spring 2010 Monday noon - 3:00 p.m. |
We are open from about 8 or 9 a.m.
until 9 p.m. each day. Tutors are on duty most in afternoons and evenings. A daily schedule is posted on the outside door and in the PASS
Center with information regarding who is on duty and what is their
specialty. Students can simply walk in, or they can make appointments, if
they wish, with specific tutors. |
||||||
|
While the Center exists mainly as a
place for students to receive tutoring, the center has six computer
terminals, two sofas, a futon, and a table. It is a place where students can
read, relax, play chess, visit, or work. |
|||||||
|
The PASS Center is a fine spot, particularly during the day, to get
together and work on group projects; it is quiet, usually, and
comfortable. |
|||||||
|
A sign in sheet is available near
the door. We ask students to sign in, simply to learn who came, why, and
monitor repeat traffic. |
|||||||
| Come to the PASS Center; visit with our tutors, have your paper proof-read, and see if you don’t agree that your time was well spent. | |||||||
