The global sports industry is massive, and naturally, performance, health, and fitness are central to the success of any sports professional or team. No surprise then, that the demand for qualified sports performance, health, and fitness professionals is high. There are many different directions sports performance professionals can go. Career opportunities range from working for one of the many sports teams around the world to working in sports medical facilities, or from working in the sports department at schools and colleges to working for health and fitness centers. The opportunities are vast.

Bachelor’s Degree

Graduates of Webber International University’s Sports Performance, Health, and Fitness program will gain knowledge and experience in areas such as public health, nutrition, anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, exercise prescription, fitness, and body composition assessment, and sports psychology. This program is designed to prepare students for careers as personal trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, exercise physiologists, group fitness instructors, and more! Additionally, this program will prepare students to sit for field-related certifications, including:

  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) – Certified Personal Trainer
  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) – Certified Exercise Physiologist
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) – Corrective Exercise Specialist
  • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Our mission is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed by entry- and mid-level professionals in the health and fitness field.

The bachelor’s degree in Sports Performance, Health, and Fitness features theoretical and practical experience designed to prepare you for your desired career as a health and fitness professional. The program also features an internship aimed at developing your professional qualifications and marketability for your future work-force endeavors.
